Aplikasi sulfur nanopartikel terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman Pogostemon cablin Bent telah dilakukan secara efektif. Hasil sintesis sulfur nanopartikel dengan adanya (GSNPs) dan yang tidak ada (SNPs) ekstrak bawang putih dikarakterisasi dengan FT-IR, XRD, SEM-EDX, dan Nanozetasizer. Hasil karakterisasi FT-IR nanopartikel sulfur hasil sintesis dengan adanya ekstrak bawang putih (GSNPs) memperlihatkan adanya puncak yang berbeda yaitu serapan gugus C=O pada bilangan gelombang 1450 cm-1 dan gugus C-H pada bilangan gelombang 2960.73-2929.87 cm-1.. Hasil analisis XRD menunjukkan bahwa GSNPs dan SNPs memiliki bentuk kristal dengan ukuran rata-rata masing-masing 45.0 dan 48.0 nm. Analisis SEM-EDX menunjukkan bahwa GSNPs dan SNPs memiliki persentase massa atom sulfur masing-masing sebesar 28.1% dan 44.4%. Sementara itu, analisis Nanozetasizer menunjukkan bahwa GSNPs dan SNPs memiliki nilai potensial zeta masing-masing pada -10.4 dan -10.3 mV. Pengaruh nanopartikel sulfur terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman Pogostemon cablin Benth dilakukan dengan aplikasi semprot daun pada konsentrasi 150; 300; dan 600ppm. Hasil analisis data menujukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara kontrol dengan nilam yang diberi perlakuan SNPs dan GSNPs tehadap beberapa parameter pertumbuhan tanaman nilam seperti tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, dan berat akar basah, respon pertumbuhan terbaik didapatkan pada perlakuaan GSNPs. Karakterisasi komposisi kimia nilam pasca panen menggunakan GC menunjukkan persentase kandungan patchouli alcohol (C15H26O) terhadap tanaman nilam hasil perlakuan (kontrol, IAA, GSNPs dan SNPs) berturut-turut adalah sebesar 31.98%, 30.69%, 35.14%, dan 35.10 % .

The application of sulfur nanoparticles to the growth of Pogostemon cablin Bent has been carried out effectively. The results of the synthesis of sulfur nanoparticles in the presence (GSNPs) and the absence (SNPs) of garlic extract were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM-EDX, and Nanozetasizer. The results of the FT-IR characterization of sulfur nanoparticles synthesized in the presence of garlic extract (GSNPs) showed different peaks, namely the absorption of the C=O group at a wave number of 1450 cm-1 and the CH group at a wave number of 2960.73-2929.87 cm-1. Results XRD analysis showed that GSNPs and SNPs had crystalline forms with an average size of 45.0 and 48.0 nm, respectively. SEM-EDX analysis showed that GSNPs and SNPs had a sulfur atomic mass percentage of 28.1% and 44.4%, respectively. Meanwhile, Nanozetasizer analysis showed that GSNPs and SNPs had zeta potential values at -10.4 and -10.3 mV, respectively. The effect of sulfur nanoparticles on plant growth of Pogostemon cablin Benth was carried out by application of foliar spray at a concentration of 150; 300; and 600 ppm. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant effect between control and patchouli treated with SNPs and GSNPs on several parameters of patchouli plant growth such as plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and wet root weight, the best growth response was obtained in the treatment of GSNPs. Characterization of the chemical composition of patchouli after harvest using GC showed the percentage content of patchouli alcohol (C15H26O) to patchouli treated (control, IAA, GSNPs and SNPs) were 31.98%, 30.69%, 35.14%, and 35.10%, respectively.
