Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran bantual sosial di masa pandemi Covid-19 terhadap pekerja rentan di Kabupaten Pidie. Variabel dalam penelitian ini antara lain bantuan sosial pada pekerja rentan. Pada penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa pekerja rentan di Kabupaten Pidie yang menerima bantuan lebih banyak dibandingkan dari yang tidak menerima bantuan dengan persentase 68 persen, dan seluruhnya berasal dari pemerintah. Bantuan yang diterima Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT) dari dana desa yang sudah diterima sebanyak 2 kali dan BLT UMKM khusus untuk pelaku UMKM yang pemberiannya dilakukan melalui transfer langsung oleh Bank yang ditunjuk. Pemberian bantuan sosial berupa uang tunai dapat menjadi pegangan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup pada masa pandemi dan masa new normal. Selama masa pandemi 78 persen pekerja rentan di kabupaten Pidie mengandalkan tabungan dan pinjaman jika tidak ada bantuan sama sekali. Walaupun tetap bekerja para pekerja rentan ini mengalami penurunan pendapatan bahkan sampai resiko hampir tidak berpendapatan. Selanjutnya bagi pekerja rentan agar lebih tetap menghindari faktor risiko terkait virus Covid-19, patuhi himbauan protokol kesehatan dari pemerintah, demi menghentikan gelombang penyebaran virus Covid-19, karena jika tidak maka keluarga juga akan berdampak, bagi pemerintah dapat menyusun kebijakan yang tepat terkait dengan pemutusan mata rantai penyebaran Covid-19 agar tidak merugikan rakyat-rakyat kecil yang sudah rentan dengan masalah yang berhubungan dengan ekonomi.

Abstract This study aims to determine the role of social assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic for vulnerable workers in Pidie Regency. The variables in this study include social assistance for vulnerable workers. In this study, the author uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of the study indicate that the percentage of vulnerable workers in Pidie Regency who received assistance was more than those who did not receive assistance with a percentage of 68 percent, and all of them came from the government. Assistance received by Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) from village funds that have been received 2 times and BLT MSMEs specifically for MSME actors whose grants are made through direct transfers by the designated Bank. The provision of social assistance in the form of cash can be used as a guide to meet the needs of life during the pandemic and the new normal. During the pandemic 78 percent of vulnerable workers in Pidie district relied on savings and loans if there was no assistance at all. Even though they are still working, these vulnerable workers experience a drastic decrease in their income and some are even without income. Furthermore, for vulnerable workers to stay away from risk factors related to the Covid-19 virus, obey the health protocols from the government, in order to stop the wave of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, because otherwise the family will also have an impact, for the government to formulate appropriate policies related to termination of employment. the chain of the spread of Covid-19 so as not to harm the small people who are already vulnerable to problems related to the economy.
