This study aims to determine the comparison of the motility of spermatozoa in Aceh cattle diluted with citrate of chicken egg yolks with duck egg yolks and muscovy duck egg yolks during the freezing process. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatment groups of chicken egg yolk citrate diluent (KTA); duck egg yolk citrate (KTI) and muscovy duck egg yolk citrate (KTE). Each group was repeated 6 times. Semen samples were collected from 1 healthy male Aceh cattle 3-4 years old using an artificial vagina once a week for six weeks. Good quality semen was diluted with egg yolk citrate diluent according to the treatment and packed in mini straws. Then it was equilibrated for 4 hours at 5ᴼC on a cool top. Then it was frozen over liquid nitrogen vapor for 12 minutes and stored in a container containing liquid nitrogen at a temperature of -196ᴼC. Data regarding the spermatozoa motility were observed after dilution, equilibration, and freezing. Data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA and were continued with Duncan's test. The average percentage of spermatozoa motility after dilution, equilibration, and freezing in the KTE group was significantly higher (P0.05) with KTI. This study concluded that the motility of Aceh's spermatozoa during the freezing process using citrate muscovy duck egg yolk diluent was higher than the addition of duck egg yolk and chicken egg yolk.
