This research aims at analyzing the characterization performed by the main character namely Nathan in the movie Dear Nathan, which is a teen-fiction genre movie. This research applied Little’s theory (1970) of four aspects, which are physical appearance, personality, social relationship, and social status. This research used a qualitative method. Data were collected by observation sheet. Researcher conducted observation by watching the movie with a duration of 1 hour 51 minutes 57 seconds. In analyzing the data, researcher used three steps, namely data condensation, data display, and conclusions. The findings of this research is found that there are 29 characteristics of Nathan character. Based on physical appearance, Nathan is a handsome boy. His characteristics based on personality consists of curious, insensitive, brave, helpful, naughty, responsible, royal, obedient, humorous, considerate, independent, liar, lov-ing, romantic, firm, friendly, loyal, tolerant, envy, keep promises, forgiveness, patient, grumpy, and undisciplined. In social status, Nathan is a student at a high school who comes from a rich family. Social relationship, he has a bad relationship with his par-ents and friends at school. The results show all aspects of the characterization pro-posed by Little’s theory (1970) can be found in this movie.
