Education is a main pillar for development of the nation. The good education system should deliver qualified human resources. Education should start at the elementary level. The curriculum currently implemented in Indonesia for elementary education is namely Kurikulum 2013. One of the subjects that includes to Kurikulum 2013 is natural science or called IPA. The score of IPA subject is at the second lowest rank in Indonesia after Mathematics. Thus, the survey to evaluate and identify IPA subject ability of the students need to be conducted. The purpose of this research categorized the level of achievement of students who have mastered science subject material in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum. The methods used in this research are validity index analysis, reliability, index of difficulty and distinguishing power of test instrument. The data consisted of student class V in SDN 61, SDN 4, and SDN 13 Banda Aceh. The results obtained based on the level of difficulty of the items at SDN 61 were categorized as good (not easy and not difficult questions) with an average of p=0.70, while SDN 4 and SDN 13 were categorized as not good test items (too easy questions) with an average p=0.60-0.80. Meanwhile, based on testing on the items, it was found that SDN 61 had mastered the basic material about the human skeleton and its functions as well as material for recognizing types of animals from their food and describing the food chain well, while SDN 4 and SDN 13 only mastered material about the human skeleton and its functions. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that SDN 61 is the school that best masters learning materials according to the 2013 Curriculum compared to the other two schools.
