The development of information technology has a positive impact on increasing efficiency
and effectiveness that is independent and developing in various sectors, one of which is
the micro, small and medium enterprise or MSME sector. However, the utilization of
geographic information system technology is still relatively low, such as the incomplete
information about MSMEs presented on the website of BAPPEDA Banda Aceh City.
Incomplete information presented is not effective in promoting existing MSMEs.
Therefore, a better geographic information system is needed, by displaying complete
information about MSMEs to help promote them. This research uses Codeigniter as a
framework for the website, leaflets as a library and MySql as a database. After the website
is successfully built, a functional test is carried out using the BlackBox Testing method to
find out if there are bugs on the website. Furthermore, trials were carried out on 2
different categories of users for usability. The duestionnaires distributed to both
categories of users were tested for validity and reliability, and valid and reliable results
were obtained. Usability measurement is then carried out using the USE (Usefulness,
Satisfaction, and Ease of use) Questionnaire. There are 4 sections that were tested and
the results obtained from MSME users and BAPPEDA respectively 86.70% and 78.57%
in the usefulness section, 85.96% and 86.00% in the ease of use section, 87.40% and
80.00% in the ease of learning section and 87.66% and 80.00% on satisfaction. Based on
the test results of the two user categories, an average score of 86,93% and 81.14% were
obtained, which means that it is included in the very feasible category.
