The spread of COVID-19 requires the government to do a lockdown in every area.
However, in Paya Dapur Village, there are 2 recitations, namely the ta'lim
assembly at the Liqaurrahmah Islamic boarding school and Sa'ad Bin Abi
Waqqash which have different actions in dealing with the coronavirus/lockdown.
The purposes of this study were 1) to find out the reasons behind the differences
in the attitudes of members of the Islamic Boarding School ta'lim assemblies
Liqaurrahmah and Sa'ad Bin Abi Waqqash regarding the covid-19 outbreak, 2) to
find out the responses of members who carried out ta'lim assembly activities in
Islamic boarding schools. Liqaurrahmah and Sa'ad Bin Abi Waqqash regarding
the covid-19 outbreak. The theory in this study uses the theory of symbolic
interactionism by Herbert Blumer. The research method uses qualitative methods,
while the type of research used is descriptive. Data analysis techniques used are
data reduction, data display and verification or drawing conclusions. The results
show that the two Islamic boarding schools, namely Liqaurrahmah and Sa'ad Bin
Abi Waqqash Islamic boarding schools have different views on COVID-19. From
these two views, it gave birth to symbolic interactionism on the concepts proposed
by Blumer. The attitude of the members of the ta'lim assembly also differed based
on the responses they believed based on what was conveyed by their leaders. This
response gave birth to actions not to do a lockdown and to do a lock down.
