The objective of this study is to look at some given theories and/or research findings on the implementation of Three Step Interview Technique for teaching speaking skill. The discussion of the technique is focused on a certain activity on the Three Step Interview Technique, namely asking, answering and retelling activity. The study found that implementing the technique can facilitate the students exchange their ideas and/or information in a useful manner. Besides, each student bus equal opportunity to participate or practice the language.It also found that the students are highly motivated, pleased and helpful to overcome the speaking problems in many aspects of the language. The method used in this study is library research. Readings obtained from various are processed and described in a descriptive way. Based on the research findings and experts' statements, it is found that Three Step Interview Technique is effective to enhance the students' speaking skill. This study is expected to be useful for other English teachers.
