This is a literacy study about using audio lingual method drills in teaching speaking for elementary school students. Through this literacy study the writer is trying to solve some problem of elementary school students' anxiety or barriers in learning speaking in particular. It is connected to several theories of audio lingual method drills in teaching speaking and has been presented and compared between each other in this minor script. The purpose of this scientific work is to explore some theories about the audio lingual method and to find out the best techniques or drills that can be applied Elementary School Level in teaching speaking particularly, which is the writer trying to propose the audio lingual method drills. In this study, the writer collects data from the books and it is also accessed from electronic media. The literature collected from various source is used as the theory in this script. This study is expected to give feedback for English teacher who teach in elementary school and the teacher can have a fully understanding about using the drills of this method. So that, the curriculum target can be fully achieved.
