Title : The Application of Small Group Work Technique in Teaching Writing Narrative Text for Second
Graders of Senior High School

The purpose of this study is to explore some theories and research finding about the use of Small Group Work technique in teaching writing narrative text. This study was chosen because there are some problems faced by the students in writing skill. By using this technique, it could solve the students' problems. This study discussed about how the technique used in solving students' problems in writing such as tack of vocabulary and poor grammar, difficult in getting ideas, the organization of narrative text. and students' motivation. The method used in this study was library research. The data was collected by looking for information from many resources and have deep understanding on the topic of the study. The sample of this study was second graders of senior high school. The result of this study showed that the technique solved the students' problem in writing narrative text. From the study, it is found that the implementing of Small Group Work Technique is a successful way LO promote students' achievement, to motivate students and to create good participation among them during teaching writing narrative. Moreover, the technique could be useful for English teachers to improve students' writing achievement in teaching learning process.
