This study is entitled Teaching Reading Comprehension through Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Technique for High School Students. Reading is an activity to get meaning from the printed page. However understanding what is read is difficult for students so that teacher should prepare a suitable technique in teaching reading to make student understand what they are reading. Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) is a technique included in Cooperative learning method that teacher could apply in teaching reading. This research was conducted to find out a brief explanation of implementing cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) technique which aims at enhancing students' ability in comprehending reading text. To obtain the data, the writer conducted library research in searching references it trough book, journal, article, and the previous research. Based on those source references the writer conclude that Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) is a good technique in teaching reading where it could been seen in the students' improvement in reading comprehension text. Therefore, Cooperative lntegrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) could be one of the alternative techniques that the teacher must consider in teaching reading.
