Abstrak/Catatan

This research is motivated by the fact that during Covid-19 pandemic, all of teachers and students were doing teaching and learning process from home. They do teaching and learning process using online learning platform and still remaining barriers. Therefore, the objectives of this research were to investigate the teachers’ perceptions, and barriers in the process of teaching and learning English by using online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The methods used in this research were quantitative and qualitative in nature. The instruments used were a set of questionnaire and interview. The data collected from questionnaire analyzed by using descriptive statistic in Microsoft Excel tool. Whereas, the interview analyzed by using words to describe the barriers. The result in questionnaire indicated that most of teachers’ perceptions on the use of online learning in teaching and learning process were contra with 55.45% and 44.54% teachers’ pro. The barriers can be categorized into technical and situational barriers. It can be resolve depends on teachers’ teaching experience, condition and situation.
