Name : Ina Safria Student No : 0606 I 02050062 Study Program : English Education Script Title : The Impact of Total Physical Response Application on Students' Listening Skill Achievement (A Descriptive Study on ELT at SD Negeri 3 Sigli) This script is entitled "The Impact of Total Physical Response Application on Students' Listening Skill Achievement" This study is a descriptive qualitative research. This study was conducted to find out the impact of Total Physical Response Application on students' listening skill achievement. The population of this study was the students of SD Negeri 3 Sigli. The samples of this study were students' class IV B, V D and IV A and total of the sample of each class were 35 students. The data in this study were collected on February 28" and March 31 2011. The instruments used are observation sheet, test, and interview guidline. The result of the observation sheet is the students were very active in the learning process. The test was given by the teachers shown that students got a high score. The interview was also given to the teachers to know the impact of TPR method application on the students' listening skill achievemenL The students could comprehend better and interested in learning listening by using TPR. The situation in the class is fun and they more enthusiastic since this method give good impact for the students. The students were doubt in doing an instruction from the teacher can easily learn from their friend in the classroom. It means that using of Total Physical Response can improve students' listening skill and make the learning process very active.
