This research is entitled Using of Direct Method in Teaching Listening to Junior High School Students. The objective of this research is to find out using of direct method in teaching listening to junior high school students. To obtain the data, the writer conducted library research in searching references through books, journals, and articles. Based on those sources it is concluded that Direct Method is a best method in teaching listening that is proved in previous research conducted by some experts. It is found that it can improve the students' ability in listening skill. Therefore, direct method could be one of the alternative methods that the teacher could apply in teaching listening.
