Bilingual or multilingual is a skill of a person who masters more than one language. This phenomenon leads us to do code-switching or code-mixing. YouTube is one of the biggest platforms where people around the world can share many informative videos and we can find the “code” phenomenon easily. This study aimed to find out which group switch and mix language the most, and the dominant types of code-switching and code-mixing used by Indonesian youtubers who lived abroad, as group 1 and Indonesian youtubers who live in country, as group 2. The transcripts of the chosen YouTube video were the data in this study. Since qualitative method used in this study, the data were analysed by using document analysis, based on framework of Myers-Scotton (1993) and Musyken (2000). The result showed group 1 used code-switching and code-mixing the most, with total 288 data and group 2 with total 262 data. The most dominant types of code-switching used by both groups was intra-sentential, total 154 data, and the dominant type of code-mixing used was insertion, total 253 data. The impacts are the increased of using vocabulary in foreign languages and decreased of using vocabulary in national language, thus certain words more often usein foreign language and it can be lead to language loss or language death.
