Abstract Name : Zurriati Student No. : 0606102050084 Study Program : English Education Title : Improving Student’s Reading Comprehension By Using Think-Pair-Square. (An Experimental Research at the Tenth Grade Students of SMA Negeri 2 Seunuddon) Keywords: Think-Pair-Square, Reading Comprehension. This research is conducted to find out whether the use of Think-Pair-Square technique in the teaching of reading can improves students’ reading comprehension and to find out the students’ responses toward the implementation of Think-Pair-Square. The sample of this study was 50 students of class X. The method of this study was experimental research. The experimental research was conducted from May 6th until May 30th 2013. The data were collected by using test (pre-test and post-test), and questionnaire. The class became enjoyable and interesting, the students became more active, cooperative and communicative in teaching and learning process. Think-Pair-Square can be applied in teaching learning process. The result showed that by applying Think-Pair-Square, the students achieved the optimum reading comprehension. The researcher suggests that Think-Pair-Square technique becomes one of teacher’s technique in teaching reading for tenth grade students.
