Abstract Name : Firatun Aini Student No : 1406102020073 Study Program : English Education Department Title : The Use Of Youtube Videos As A Media In Teaching Speaking (an Experimental Study on The Second Grade Students at SMAN 8 Banda Aceh) Keyword : Teaching Speaking, Youtube and Youtube Video The purpose of this research is to investigate how Youtube video improves students’ speaking skill especially in speaking skill in term of pronunciation, grammar, Vocabulary and fluency. The method used in this research is experimental research. The research is conducted at the second grade student of SMAN 8 Banda Aceh. The researcher gave a pre-test, treatment and post-test in class XI IA 2 as an experimental class. Students’ mean score of pre-test in that class is 47 and 59 for post-test, thus, the t-score in the group is 26.22 and the t-table is 2.086 which is used 0.05 as the significant level of this research. Based on the result, t-score is higher than t-table (t=26.66>t_t=2.086), Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that Youtube as a media in teaching speaking can improve students’ speaking in terms of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency. The use of Youtube as a media is recommended for improving students’ speaking skills.
