Keywords :Picture Strip Story, Writing The objective of this study is to analyze some theories and research findings about the technique of teaching writing skill that is accomplished through the implementation of picture strip story. The discussion of the technique is focused on picture strip story; one of technique that gives much help in constructing ideas through the sequences of picture. Library research is applied in this study to provide factual information from the experts. Based on the research study and experts’ statements, it is found that using picture strip story can attract students to create their idea in writing. It gives the students an opportunity to practice the language in real context or in the situations in which they can use it to communicate their ideas. The data are obtained from various readings that are processed and described in a descriptive way. This study is expected to be useful for the writer and other English teachers.
