Abstract Name : Seprika Yanti Student Number : 0906102050019 Study Program : English Education Title : The Implementation of Community Language Learning Through Small Group Task in Improving Students’ Speaking Performances. (An Experimental Research at Junior High School 13 Banda Aceh) Keywords : Speaking Skill, Community Language Learning This study aims at examining whether the implementation of Community Language Learning method improves students’ speaking performance. Quantitative approach with experimental study of pretest-postest control group design was undertaken to overcome the problem faced by students in learning speaking skill. The instrument used to collect the data in this study by means of the test in the form of oral test. The results of the test analyzed by using speaking criteria proposed by Brown (2004).In addition, some statistical formula were also used to analyze the data. From the results of the study revealed there is a significant improvement on students’ speaking performance after community language learning implemented. Thus, CLL can be used by the English teacher as one of alternative techniques in teaching English particularly teaching speaking in EFL class.
