The flash flood disaster that occurred in Paya Tumpi Baru Village, Kebayakan District, Central Aceh Regency had a small scope but had an impact on people's lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the social and economic conditions of the people of Paya Tumpi Baru Village after the flash flood disaster. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using Sztompka Piotr's theory of social change. The results of this study indicate that there is a change in the social and economic conditions of the people of Paya Tumpi Baru Village, such as: (1) the development of community social interaction towards community participation in mutual cooperation activities, marriage celebrations, religion and death. (2) Damage to 11 units of community housing in the heavily damaged category and 8 vehicles, 3 cars and 5 motorbikes, damage to public facilities such as ditches and roads, damage to plantations covering an area of 20 hectares, loss of community livelihood sources and changing professions as fruit traders/farmers.
