Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh metode pembelajaran gallery walk terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Lhoknga, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre-experimental design berbentuk one-shot case study. Adapun yang menjadi populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII. Sampel pada penelitian ini ialah seluruh siswa kelas VII-1 yang berjumlah 20 orang siswa yang diberi perlakuan berupa pengaruh metode pembelajaran gallery walk. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh tingkat keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS pada kelas VII-1 dengan nilai sebesar 32% dari presentase tertinggi 36% dengan kecenderungan 32 ≥ 22,5 + 1.4,5 = 32 ≥ 27 dan masuk ke dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Uraian tersebut membuktikan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran gallery walk sangat berpengaruh positif terhadap keaktifan belajar IPS siswa kelas VII-1 di SMP Negeri 1 Lhoknga. Hal ini disebabkan oleh respon siswa terhadap pengunaan metode pembelajaran gallery walk sangat baik. Dapat dibuktikan dengan mayoritas suara menjawab “Sangat Setuju” memiliki presentase sebanyak 62.75 % siswa yang menganggap penggunaan metode pembelajaran gallery walk berpengaruh sangat baik terhadap keaktifan belajar IPS.

This study aims to see the effect of the gallery learning method walk on the learning activities of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Lhoknga, Aceh Besar District. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of research is pre-experimental design in the form of a one-shot case study. As for the population in this study were all seventh grade students. Sample in this study were all students of class VII-1, totaling 20 students who were given the treatment in the form of the influence of the gallery walk learning method. Technique data collection used is observation and questionnaires. Based on the results The research obtained the level of student learning activity in social studies subjects at class VII-1 with a score of 32% from the highest percentage of 36% with tendency 32 22.5 + 1.4.5 = 32 27 and falls into the category of very tall. The description proves that the use of learning methods gallery walk has a very positive effect on class students' social studies learning activity VII-1 at SMP Negeri 1 Lhoknga. This is caused by students' responses to the use of the gallery walk learning method is very good. It can be proved by the majority of votes answered "Strongly Agree" has a percentage of 62.75% students who consider the use of the gallery walk learning method to be influential very good for social studies learning activities.
