Research on the inventory of termites that attack shade trees on the main road of Banda Aceh City has been carried out from May to August 2022. The purpose of this study is to inventory the types of termites that attack shade trees on the main road of Banda Aceh City. This study uses the purposive sampling method for the selection of research sites. The method used in the field is an exploratory survey on every tree found on the main road and the collection of termites using the colony collection method, namely by collecting 10 individuals from the soldier caste and 10 individuals from the worker caste in one colony. Of the 14 main roads in Banda Aceh City, only 8 roads were attacked by various types of termites. Coptotermes gestroi Oshima and Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren were the most common types of termites found attacking trees on the main road in Banda Aceh City, while Nasutitermes matureensis Haviland, Macrotermes malaccensis Haviland, and Nasutitermes proatripennis Ahmad were only found attacking trees on one street. The total number of colonies collected on the main road was 22 colonies. Termite attack on the tallest tree (10 colonies) was found on Jalan Soekarno-Hatta. The shade trees that were attacked by termites were Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) (3 species), Trembesi (Samanea saman) (2 species), Angsana (Pterocarpus indicus) (1 species), Rain Tree (Spathodea campanulata) (1 species). The age of the shade trees and the maintenance of the main road in Banda Aceh City are thought to have an effect on termite attacks.
