Dalam konteks penerapan kompetensi sosial, salah satu upaya adalah dengan menciptakan suasana belajar di dalam kelas dengan nyaman dan kondusif. Kompetensi Sosial merupakan kemampuan seorang guru untuk berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi secara efektif dengan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bagaimana penerapan kompetensi sosial guru kelas dalam proses pembelajaran di SD Negeri 71 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan kompetensi sosial guru kelas dalam proses pembelajaran di SD Negeri 71 Banda Aceh.

Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 orang guru kelas, 1 orang kepala sekolah dan 6 orang peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Seluruh data yang terkumpul diolah dengan tahapan analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.

Dari hasil observasi dan wawancara, terdapat permasalahan dari 5 indikator kompetensi sosial, keenam orang guru kelas terlihat sudah menerapkan beberapa indikator kompetensi sosial dan terdapat 2 indikator yang tidak terlihat dan diterapkan oleh guru dalam proses pembelajaran, yaitu pada indikator berkomunikasi secara lisan, tulisan, dan insyarat terdapat guru yang tidak menggunakan berbagai macam metode dan tidak menerapkan bahasa isyarat dalam proses pembelajaran. Serta pada indikator menggunakan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi secara fungsional dapat dilihat ada beberapa guru yang kurang memanfaatkan teknologi, dalam pemanfaatan teknologi kurang diterapkannnya guru masih banyak berpatokan pada buku paket saja dan tidak menggunakan infokus untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran. Dalam berinteraksi dengan guru lainnya sudah cukup baik namun ada salah satu guru yang tidak menerapkannya sehingga membuat komunikasi tidak baik.

Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa keenam guru kelas SD Negeri 71
Banda Aceh sudah menerapkan kompetensi sosial dalam proses pembelajaeran dengan cukup baik. Oleh karena itu guru yang sudah terlihat dalam menerapkan kompetensi sosial dapat mempertahakan hal tersebut.

Social competence is the ability of a teacher to communicate and interact effectively with students in the learning process in the classroom. This study reveals how the application of classroom teacher social competence in the learning process at SD Negeri 71 Banda Aceh. This study aims to describe the application of classroom teacher social competence in the learning process at SD Negeri 71 Banda Aceh. The approach taken is qualitative with descriptive research type. The subjects in this study were 6 class teachers, 1 principal and 6 students. Data was collected by using observation and interview techniques. All data collected is processed by data analysis stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. From the results of observations and interviews, there are problems with the 5 indicators of social competence, the six class teachers seem to have implemented several indicators of social competence and there are 2 indicators that are not visible and applied by teachers in the learning process, namely the indicators of communicating orally, in writing, and The indication is that there are teachers who do not use various methods and do not apply sign language in the learning process. As well as the indicators of using communication and information technology functionally, it can be seen that there are some teachers who do not use technology, in the use of technology, the lack of application of the teacher still relies on textbooks and does not use focus to support the learning process. In interacting with other teachers it was good enough but there was one teacher who did not apply it so that communication was not good. The conclusions of this study indicate that the six class teachers of SD Negeri 71 Banda Aceh has implemented social competence in the learning process quite well. Therefore, teachers who have been seen in implementing social competence can maintain this.
