The pedagogic competence possessed by the teacher of course this will be the teacher really must have competence both methodologically and conceptually in order to apply learning planning and implementation of effective and efficient learning. One of the things that must be mastered by the teacher is being able to take advantage of the use of learning media in the educational institution. It has been stipulated in Permendiknas number 16 of 2007, that teachers must have the ability to use learning media and learning resources that are relevant to the characteristics of students and the subjects being taught to achieve learning objectives as a whole. This study aims to describe the use of learning media by teachers in learning at SD Negeri 1 Mata Ie Aceh Besar. The benefits of this research are as a means to increase knowledge about how to select criteria and use learning media in learning.
The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive type. The subjects of this study consisted of three teachers, namely teachers in grades IV, V, and VI. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and interviews. Data processing uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
Based on the results of the study, it shows that the use of learning media by teachers in learning at SD Negeri 1 Mata Ie, Aceh Besar District in the subjects of science, social studies, SBdP, mathematics and Indonesian language, namely graphic media, the teacher draws, draws lines and explains on the blackboard about how to graphic media creation. Furthermore, the media is printed material, the teacher asks students to open a printed book according to the theme being pursued, read the text in the book, and add material that is not clear on the blackboard. Still image media, the teacher prepares images pasted on the blackboard accompanied by explanations from still image media. Furthermore, the LCD media, the teacher looks for videos about the material on the internet, learning videos are displayed through the LCD. Slide media, the teacher chooses the material, makes the main things from the essence of the material title.
