This research is related to the teacher’s role in increasing early childhood learning motivation at FKIP Kingdergarten, Syiah Kuala University. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the teacher’s role in increasing early childhood learning motivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in increasing early childhood learning motivation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this study consisted of 2 teachers. The research location is at the FKIP Kingdergarten, Syiah Kuala University, which is in Jalan Inong Balee Kopelma Darussalam, Syiah Kuala District, Banda Aceh City. Data was collected by using observation and interview techniques. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The technique used to test the accuracy of the data using technical triangulation techniques and time triangulation. From the results of this study, it can be seen that the teacher’s role in increasing children’s learning motivation is, 1) the teacher’s role as class manager by giving rules to children when attending lessons and the classroom is always clean, 2) the teacher’s role as motivator in providing encrouragement in the form of the word “come on”,”can” and the tells about diligent children, 3) the teacher’s role as an inspiration for the teacher to always say the words “please, sorry, and thank you” ro the child, 4) the teacher’s role as an evaluator of the teacher assesses the development, attitudes and behavior of children, 5) the role of teacher demonstrator, the teacher demonstrates every lesson that is tught every day, making it easier for children to understand the lesson.
