The economic improvement of an area could have an impact on the increase in road volume, which would result in a decrease in conditions on pavements. The increase in traffic volume is comparatively high in the city of Banda Aceh occurred on the road T. Nyak Arief, Banda Aceh City which is a section of national and provincial roads with a type of flexible pavement type of 6 lanes 2 divided (6/2D) and 4 lanes 2 directions divided (4/2D). In order to achieve the comfort of road users, it is necessary to choose the kind of maintenance that complies with the road conditions. The route condition may be evaluated using the International Roughness Index (IRI) method. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the condition of the pavement and determine the proper type of maintenance on the T. Nyak Arief road section, Banda Aceh City by using the International Roughness Index (IRI) as well as using a Roadbump Pro application. This study will also result in a comparison of the IRI value of relevant agencies with the IRI value obtained from the survey results. The results obtained from the roadway condition analysis for T. Nyak Arief road, Banda Aceh City showed that the pavement conditions on the 2.2 km T. Nyak Arief national road were dominantly good with an average IRI value of 0-4 m/km. This road is included under the road stability category and the proper type of maintenance is routine maintenance. In the meantime, the state of the road at 2.1 km T. Nyak Arief provincial road is predominantly moderate with an average IRI value of 4-8 m/km. This road is included in the road stability category and the proper type of maintenance is scheduled maintenance. Based on the results of the comparisons from this study, it can be seen that the Roadbump Pro app can be used as an alternative in assessing road unevenness.
