This study aims to examine the socio-economic conflicts of the community that occurred in the presence of PT. Bara Energi Lestari in Paya Udeung Village, Seunagan District, Nagan Raya Regency and the impact caused by the conflict. To analyze this phenomenon, this study uses Ralf Dahrendorf's Conflict Theory. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of the discussion found in this study are the dynamics of the conflict between the Paya Udeung Village community and PT BEL, namely pre-conflict, confrontation, crisis or peak conflict and post-conflict. In the pre-conflict period, the community felt that they had waited a long time for PT Batubara Energi Lestari to fulfill the agreement they had made, while the agreement was in the form of receiving scholarships, recruiting local men/women, repairing roads and bridges. Then the air pollution that results from activities, this is what triggers citizen conflicts or what is called confrontation. With no action from PT BEL, the community took the initiative to block roads. However, until now, although the conflict has subsided, the problems that occur have not been resolved. This is because there is one group that succumbs, namely the conflict group. As for the impact of the conflict that occurred for the interest group (PT BEL), namely the declining reputation of PT BEL and the lack of public trust in the company. while for residents of Paya Udeung Village, namely, air pollution that disturbs the community continuously, people feel unsafe crossing the bridge, access roads in Paya Udeung Village are damaged, do not feel any economic growth with the existence of PT BEL, with inadequate facilities, village This is a village that is left behind in other villages around Sueunagan Subdistrict, Coal Reduction due to continuous exploitation. This form of conflict occurs because of the group in power or domination (domination) and those who are controlled (submission).
