This research is entitled: "Assessment of Attitudes on Student Learning Outcomes by Teachers at SMPN 1 Kuala Kab. Nagan Raya". The background of writing this thesis is that the assessment of the attitude domain so far has not run optimally, the teacher also still does not understand the assessment of the attitude domain, because there is still a lack of insight in using and carrying out the assessment. This study aims (1) to explain the assessment of the attitude domain at SMPN 1 Kuala. (2) To determine the competence of teachers in carrying out the assessment of the domain of attitudes. (3) To find out the obstacles in carrying out the attitude assessment at SMPN 1 Kuala. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data collection techniques in the form of interview and documentation techniques. While the data analysis technique used qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The informants in this study were 5 teachers at SMP 1 Kuala, Kab. Nagan Raya. The results of the study show that (1) The attitude assessment technique that has been applied at SMP Negeri 1 Kuala is an observation technique or observations carried out in the classroom during learning by using observation sheets. In addition, peer assessment techniques and self-assessment techniques are carried out at the end of the semester using the Gutmann scale instrument. (2) Teacher competence in carrying out attitude assessment at SMPN 1 Kuala is in accordance with the basic concept as a competent teacher in carrying out the attitude assessment. (3) Obstacles in applying attitude assessment at SMP Negeri 1 Kuala are teachers who still have difficulty understanding the classification system of assessment and final scoring system, and there are some teachers who still do not understand using self-assessment instruments and peers. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the attitude assessment at SMPN 1 Kuala has been carried out quite well, through professional teacher competence and pedagogic competence the teacher has the ability to understand the character and attitudes of students, but in its implementation there are obstacles in understanding each student's character and the difficulty of teachers in guiding students due to the large number of students and limited time.
