The Seumeuleung tradition is a custom and tradition that is carried out every year to commemorate the services of Poe Teumeureuhoem. The preservation of the seumeuleung traditional values carried out in Glee Jong Village has always survived to this day in the midst of the association in the multicultural Glee Jong community and cultural acculturation. The purpose of this study was to examine the public's perception of the seumeuleug tradition and the social interaction of the community in using the symbols and meanings in the tradition. The research method used is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. The results of research related to the use of symbols and meanings in the seuemeuleung tradition are formed through actions related to customs and traditions that explain the people who are directly involved in the process of the seumeuleung tradition. These symbols are then used to move together to guard the seumeuleung and also guard it. The Seumeleung tradition that still survives today in Glee Jong Village cannot be separated from the meanings and symbols of the tradition. through their minds, they still perceive or interpret this Seumeuleung tradition as part of an obligation that must be carried out and consider this a blessing for the people of Glee Jong Village. Then in the aspect of Self, the community has begun to assess the meaning in an action. The action taken was the establishment of a regulation which took place a few days before the start of the tradition through a regulation on the formation of a committee. Regarding the social aspect, this tradition still persists in Glee Jong Village, inseparable from the role of the community in maintaining this tradition. This community was formed because of the similarity between the mind and self in the Gle Jong Village community.
