A distribution transformer is a device in electric power that transforms power or electrical energy from medium voltage to low voltage at the same frequency and is the most important electrical equipment in the distribution system. Because of the importance of the role, good maintenance is necessary to guarantee that the distribution of energy to customers is continuous and that consumers are satisfied. The occurrence of transformer damage will cause losses to customers and PT. PLN (Persero). The customer suffered a loss due to the disruption of electricity service which caused delays in daily activities, whereas PLN suffered losses due to the unsold electrical energy. Furthermore, because the distribution transformer is not cheap, it isimportant to discuss because of transformer damage can be reduced or even prevented with proper maintenance. Overlaod is one of the reasons of distribution transformer damage in PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Jeuram's operational region. The findings results of the analysis of the transformer which experiencing overload, the authors found that the overload on the transformer is the cause of the damage. A load mismatch to be served transformer against the capabilities of the transformer can reduce the transformer's wearability and life.
