Parent-child attachment will lead to safe attachment, safe attachment between parents-child can improve student discipline. Safe parent-child attachment is closely related to student discipline, namely the higher the parent-child secure attachment the higher the discipline and vice versa. This study aims to determine parent-child attachment to students at MAN 6 Aceh Besar, to determine student discipline at MAN 6 Aceh Besar and to determine the relationship between parent-child attachment and student discipline at MAN 6 Aceh Besar. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach of correlational type. The population in this study were all students at MAN 6 Aceh Besar totaling 240 students with a total sample of 148 students with random sampling that is random. The data collection technique used a modified Likert scale. The results of this study indicate parent-child attachment to students at MAN 6 Aceh Besar is in the medium category with a percentage of 65.5% and the level of student discipline in MAN 6 Aceh Besar students is also in the moderate category 63.5%, the correlation results show a significant positive relationship between parent-child attachment and student discipline with a correlation value of 0.438 and a significant 0.00 meaning that the higher the parent-child attachment, the higher the student's discipline. Vice versa, if parent-child attachment is low, student discipline is also low.
