Abstrak acne vulgaris merupakan salah satu penyakit kulit yang sering terjadi pada sebagian besar remaja maupun orang dewasa, berdasarkan hal itu telah dilakukan penelitian tentang aktivitas antiacne bunga cempaka putih (magnolia alba) terhadap salah satu bakteri penyebab jerawat, yaitu propionibacterium acnes. bunga m. alba dimaserasi menggunakan pelarut n-heksana, etil asetat dan metanol, dan ketiga ekstrak tersebut diuji terhadap bakteri p. acnes. ekstrak yang paling aktif ditunjukkan oleh ekstrak etil asetat yang kemudian dikarakterisasi dengan gc-ms dan difraksinasi menggunakan kromatografi kolom gravitasi. hasil fraksinasi ekstrak etil asetat diperoleh 7 subfraksi, yang secara aktif menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri p.acnes, tetapi yang paling aktif dari 7 subfraksi adalah subfraksi b, c dan e, sehingga subfraksi b, c, e dan ekstrak kasar diformulasikan menjadi lotion dan diuji aktivitas anti bakteri untuk masing-masing fraksi. hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa formulasi lotion subfraksi b adalah yang paling aktif, dengan zona penghambatan rata-rata: 8,3; 11.3; 13,6; dan 15,3 mm pada konsentrasi 2, 4, 6 dan 8%. semua formulasi lotion diuji sifat fisiknya setiap 1 minggu, selama 1 bulan. hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa semua formulasi lotion bertipe m/a, ph setiap formulasi lotion berkisar 6,2-7,9 hal ini sesuai dengan standar sni 16-4399-1997. pengujian daya sebar semua formulasi lotion berkisar 21,1-35,9 cm2 dengan daya lekat semua formulasi lotion berkisar 28-37 detik. viskositas semua formulasi lotion adalah 24.070-36.270 cp, sesuai dengan standar sni 16-4399-1996. terdapat 28 senyawa kimia dalam ekstrak etil asetat, diantaranya: ethyl acetate (senyawa utama); linalool l; translinalool oxide; dan linalool oxide. kata kunci: bunga magnolia alba; lotion; propionibacterium acnes.



Abstract

ABSTRACT Acne vulgaris is a skin disease that often occurs in most teenagers and adults, based on that research has been carried out on the antiacne activity of white cempaka flowers (Magnolia alba) against one of the bacteria that causes acne, namely Propionibacterium acnes. M. alba flowers were macerated using n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol as solvents, and the three extracts were tested against P. acnes bacteria. The most active extract was indicated by ethyl acetate extract which was then characterized by GC-MS and fractionated by gravity column chromatography. The results of the fractionation of the ethyl acetate extract obtained 7 subfractions, which actively inhibited the growth of P.acnes bacteria, but the most active of the 7 subfractions were subfractions B, C and E, so that subfractions B, C, E and crude extract were made into lotions and tested antibacterial activity for each fraction. The results showed that the lotion formulation of subfraction B was the most active, with a mean zone of inhibition: 8.3; 11.3; 13.6; and 15.3 mm at concentrations of 2, 4, 6 and 8%. All lotion formulations were tested for physical properties every 1 week, for 1 month. The results showed that all lotion formulations were of m/a type, the PH of each lotion formulation ranged from 6.2-7.9 this was following the standard of SNI 16-4399-1997. Testing the spreadability of all lotion formulations ranged from 21.1-35.9 cm2 with the stickiness of all lotion formulations ranging from 28-37 seconds. All lotion formulations Viscosity is 24.070-36.270 cP, by the standard of SNI 16-4399-1996. There are 28 chemical compounds in the ethyl acetate extract, including Ethyl acetate (main compound); Linalool L; Translinalool oxide and Linalool oxide.
