SARAH NIACI, AKTIVITAS ANTIACNE EKSTRAK DAN LOTION BUNGA KENANGA (CANANGA ODORATA) TERHADAP BAKTERI PROPIONIBACTERIUM ACNES. Banda Aceh Program Studi Magister Kimia,2022

Bunga kenanga (c. odorata) merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang minyak atsirinya banyak digunakan dalam industri kosmetik dan bahan makanan. ekstrak bunga c. odorata menunjukkan sejumlah bioaktivitas salah satunya adalah sebagai antibakteri. dalam penelitian ini, ekstrak metanol bunga c. odorata dipartisi menggunakan n-heksana dan etil asetat, ketiga ekstrak ini diuji terhadap bakteri p. acnes, dan yang memiliki aktivitas paling tinggi adalah ekstrak n-heksana sehingga ekstrak diidentifikasi menggunakan gc-ms. hasil fraksinasi dari ekstrak n-heksana diperoleh empat subfraksi. keempat subfraksi menunjukkan penghambatan yang bagus terhadap bakteri p. acnes. semua subfraksi diformulasikan menjadi lotion dan diuji aktivitas antibakterialnya. hasil penilitian menunjukkan bahwa subfraksi b dengan konsentrasi 8% memiliki diameter zona hambat paling besar dibandingkan dengan subfraksi lainnya yaitu 12 mm dengan persen keaktifan 60,61%. semua lotion diuji sifat fisik setiap minggunya selama satu bulan. hasil pengujian sifat fisik lotion, semua lotion memiliki tipe emulsi m/a, ph lotion berkisar antara 7-8, nilai viskositas lotion berkisar antara 2659,6-6559,1 cp, nilai daya sebar lotion berkisar antara 19,11-34,19 cm2 atau setara dengan 4,9-6,4 cm, nilai daya lekat lotion berkisar antara 11-26 detik. hasil pengujian sifat fisik dalam penelitian ini sesuai dengan sni 16-4399-1996. terdapat 75 senyawa dari ekstrak n-heksana bunga c. odorata di antaranya adalah caryophyllene oxide, e,e,z-1,3,12-nonadecatriene-5,14-diol dan isoaromadendrene epoxide. kata kunci : bunga c. odorata, propionibacterium acnes, lotion.



Abstract

Kenanga Flower (C. odorata) is one of the plants where its essential oil is widely used in cosmetic and food industry. The C. odorata essential oils and the extracts showed a number of bioactivities one of which is as an antibacterial. In this study, the methanol extract of C. odorata flowers was partitioned using hexane and ethyl acetate, these three extracts were tested against P. acnes bacteria, and the one with the highest activity was the hexane extract so that the extract was identified using GC-MS. The fractionation results from the hexane extract obtained four subfractions. The four subfractions showed excellent inhibition against P. acnes bacteria. All subfractions were formulated into lotions and tested for their antibacterial activity. The results showed that subfraction B with a concentration of 8% had the largest diameter of the inhibition zone compared to the other subfractions, which is 12 mm with 60.61% of the activeness. All lotions were physically tested every week for one month. The results of testing the physical properties of the lotion, all lotions had an emulsion type o/w, the pH of the lotion ranged from 7-8, the viscosity value of the lotion ranged from 2659.6-6559.1 cP, the value of spreadability of the lotion ranged from 19.11-34.19 cm2 or equivalent to 4.9-6.4 cm, the adhesion value of the lotion ranges from 11-26 seconds. The results of physical properties testing in this study are in accordance with SNI 16-4399-1996. There are 75 compounds from C. odorata flower n-hexane extract including Caryophyllene oxide, E, E, Z-1,3,12-Nonadecatriene-5,14-diol and isoaromadendrene epoxide.
