Daun sembung (blumea balsamifera l) telah diisolasi dan diuji aktivitas antioksidannya menggunakan metode 1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil (dpph). daun blumea balsamifera sebanyak 1300 g dimaserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol kemudian dipartisi dengan petroleum eter, n-heksana, dan diekstraksi dengan etil asetat dan aseton sehingga diperoleh esktrak petroleum eter, n-heksana, etil asetat, aseton dan metanol dengan berat dan % rendemen berturut-turut yaitu 6,34 g (5,43%), 4,97 g (4,25%), 7,34 g (6,28%), 14,14 g (12,11%) dan 5,66 (4,85%). uji fitokimia ekstrak petroleum eter dan n-heksana menunjukkan adannya senyawa steroid, sedangkan ekstrak etil asetat, aseton dan metanol menunjukkan adanya senyawa alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid, terpenoid dan fenolik. uji aktivitas antioksidan esktrak petroleum eter, n-heksana, etil asetat, aseton dan metanol diperoleh nilai ic50 berturut-turut yaitu 177,47 ppm, 192,66 ppm, 4,28 ppm, 7,33 ppm dan 8,61 ppm. ekstrak aseton dipisahkan komponen-komponen kimianya menggunakan kromatografi kolom gravitasi sehingga diperoleh fraksi gabungan ekstrak aseton blumea balsamifera (bba1-bba11). uji aktivitas antioksidan fraksi bba1, bba2, bba3, bba4, bba5, bba6, bba7, bba8, bba9, bba10 dan bba 11 diperoleh nilai ic50 berturut-turut yaitu 147,17 ppm, 81,36 ppm, 10,31 ppm, 3,84 ppm, 1,18 ppm, 3,37 ppm, 6,76 ppm, 9,32 ppm, 19,26 ppm, 16,82 ppm dan 30,71 ppm. ekstrak bba4 di dikarakterisasi strukturnya dengan menggunakan gas cromatografy mass spectrometry (gc-ms). kata kunci : daun sembung (blumea balsamifera l.), ekstrak aseton, aktivitas antioksidan, 1-diphenyl-2-pycrilhidrazil (dpph). sambong leaf (blumea balsamifera l) have been isolated and tested for antioxidant activity using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrilhydrazyl (dpph) method. blumea balsamifera leaf as much as 1300 g macerated using methanol solvent then partitioned with petroleum ether, n-hexane, and extracted with ethyl acetate and acetone to obtain extracts of petroleum ether, n-hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone and methanol with weight and% yield respectively. 6.34 g (5.43%), 4.97 g (4.25%), 7.34 g (6.28%), 14.14 g (12.11%) and 5.66 ( 4.85%). phytochemical tests of petroleum ether and n-hexane extracts showed the presence of steroid compounds, while ethyl acetate, acetone and methanol extracts showed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, terpenoids and phenolic compounds. the antioxidant activity test of extracts of petroleum ether, n-hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone and methanol obtained ic50 values respectively, 177.47 ppm, 192.66 ppm, 4.28 ppm, 7.33 ppm and 8.61 ppm. the acetone extract was separated by its chemical components using gravity column chromatography to obtain the combined fraction of the blumea balsamifera acetone extract (bba1-bba11). the antioxidant activity test of bba1, bba2, bba3, bba4, bba5, bba6, bba7, bba8, bba9, bba10 and bba 11 fractions obtained ic50 values respectively 147.17 ppm, 81.36 ppm, 10.31 ppm, 3, 84 ppm, 1.18 ppm, 3.37 ppm, 6.76 ppm, 9.32 ppm, 19.26 ppm, 16.82 ppm and 30.71 ppm. the bba4 extracts were characterized by their structure using gas cromatografy mass spectrometry (gc-ms). keywords: sambong leaf (blumea balsamifera l.), acetone extract, antioxidant activity, 1-diphenyl-2-pycrilhidrazil (dpph).
