Abstrak

Abstract the objective of this research was to determine the optimum dose of papain in feed on feeding efficiency and growth of tor tambra juvenile. the measured variables were absolute growth rate, specific growth, daily growth, survival rate, feeding efficiency, feeding conversion and protein retention. the completely randomized design (crd) with 6 treatments of papain: 0; 17,5; 20; 22,5; 25 and 27,5 mg/kg at 3 replications. the result of anova showed that the difference dose of papain in feed the significant effect on absolute growth rate, specific growth, daily growth, survival rate, feeding efficiency, feeding conversion and protein retention. the result of duncan test showed that the values of absolute growth rate, specific growth, daily growth at treatments of papain dose of 27,5 mg/kg in feed was significant different from papain dose of 0; 17,5; 20; 22,5 and 25 mg/kg papain in feed. but, the values of survival rate, feeding efficiency, feeding conversion and protein
